Our approach
How Eleva Wellbeing actually works
Our principles: personalised, evidence-based, responsible, and honest about limits.
Our principles
Personalised
Eleva Wellbeing learns how you feel, and adapts
Every day starts with a 60-second check-in. Eleva Wellbeing asks how you're feeling, what's influencing it, and uses that signal to adapt your daily support in real time. No two days are the same. No two users are the same. Everything you see in Eleva Wellbeing is shaped by you, not a generic content library.
Evidence-based
Grounded in what actually works
Every activity in Eleva Wellbeing (breathing exercises, movement prompts, journalling, cognitive reframing) is drawn from evidence-based practice: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based approaches, and behavioural activation. We don't invent techniques; we apply what clinical research has shown to help.
Guided
Start to finish, always
Every activity is guided from beginning to end. You never have to figure out what to do or how to do it. Eleva Wellbeing walks you through each step, with clear instructions, timers where needed, and a structure that works whether you're feeling low or just getting by. Small moments, every day, that actually help.
Measurable
Tracking real progress, not just engagement
Every two weeks, Eleva Wellbeing runs a deeper wellbeing assessment using validated clinical tools. We track how you're actually doing over time, not just whether you opened the app. If things are genuinely improving, Eleva Wellbeing reflects that. If they're not, it tells you honestly.
Responsible
Eleva Wellbeing knows its limits
We are clear about what Eleva Wellbeing is, and what it isn't. It is not a replacement for therapy. It is not a crisis service. When Eleva Wellbeing's patterns suggest you need more than an app can offer, it will tell you directly and help you find appropriate professional support. We will never keep you in the product when the right answer is somewhere else.
Clinical grounding
Validated tools at the core
PHQ-9
Patient Health Questionnaire
The gold-standard tool for tracking depression symptoms, used by clinicians worldwide. Eleva Wellbeing uses PHQ-9 scores to measure whether your mood and functioning are genuinely improving over time.
GAD-7
Generalised Anxiety Disorder Scale
A validated 7-item measure of anxiety severity. Used alongside PHQ-9, GAD-7 gives Eleva Wellbeing a clearer picture of your overall mental health, so progress tracking is meaningful, not cosmetic.
Private. Ad-free. Always.
Eleva Wellbeing is built on a simple belief: your mental health data is yours. We are ad-free, will never sell or monetise your data, and are designed from day one to meet the highest standards of privacy under UK GDPR. This is about you and your mental balance. Nothing else.
